Adult Drawing Class

Class Description

These classes are designed for adults who want to learn or improve their life-like drawing skills. Each month participants will focus on a different type of drawing, including portrait, still life, landscape and animal. In May participants will concentrate on drawing feathered animals.  

Each individual will be given drawing exercises and instruction that develop the desired skills to produce the drawing of their choice. Participants will work on their projects in class with tips and critiques from our instructor, Jodi Bauer,

Jodi is an award winning artist that works in various mediums and styles. She has done commissioned pieces for individuals and local organizations. In addition to her experience in teaching art and drawing classes for kids, Jodi also teaches life-like courses at Cuyahoga Community College in Parma and Brunswick.

Please sign up for this class at least one day in advance. Class size is limited to 20 students and only open to adults 18 years and older.


$20, plus the cost of supplies. 

On the day of class please bring:
  • Set of Drawing Pencils 2B, 4B, 6B, HB, 2H, 4H
  • Carbon Sketch Pencil
  • 9" x 12" Sketch Tablet or Book
  • White Eraser Block or Stick
  • Kneaded Eraser (Gray Putty-Like)
  • Tortillions (Rolled Paper Blending Stumps)
  • Chamois
  • Ruler Edge
  • Circle Template
  • Plastic Page Protectors
  • Portfolio
  • Large Drawing Board (Giant Clipboard with Handle)
