How to Make a Baby Shower Treat Basket

Celebrate your baby shower with a Baby Shower Treat Basket! Make a pink one, a blue one or both for a fun gender reveal game. Don't forget to fill the baskets with a tasty fruit baby or your favorite baby shower treats.
  • 1 Attach visor

Remove the plastic curled back from visor. Attach visor to back of the basket with hot glue at each side, leaving a small opening at the back.

  • 2 Cover visor with lace

Cover visor with 5" wide lace. Position lace so that is extends slightly over the back opening of the visor, but does not extend over the front of the visor. Add 3" lace over top of the visor and glue down.

  • 3 Glue lace

Starting at the back of the basket, glue 5" lace all around the top edge of the basket. Glue the 3" layered lace over the 5" lace, leaving an inch or so of the bottom lace showing at the top edge. Glue 1" lace along the front of the handle.

  • 4 Add treat bowl

An oval plastic fruit bowl the same size as the basket bottom fits perfectly inside the basket. Push bowl down and secure in place.

  • 5 Attach ribbon accent

Attach small grosgrain ribbon to the front of the basket.

  • 6 Construct fruit baby

To make baby inside basket, use a fruit baller or cut up strawberries, grapes, melon and watermelon. Cut a small cantaloupe in half, removing seeds and peeling outer skin until smooth. Attach two medium sized grape halves using toothpicks for eyes. Attach a small piece of balled watermelon with a toothpick as nose. Cut a small hole at mouth and insert pacifier.Place head on top of fruit in basket.
