What You'll Need:

Chocolate Cake Mix
For the Icing:
  Powdered Sugar- 2 lbs.
  Butter- 1 cup
  Vanilla Extract- 1 tsp.
  Milk- 3 tbls. (approx.)
  Black Food Color
Wilton® Tip 2A

How to Make Christmas Light Cupcakes

Bake delicious and adorable Christmas Light Cupcakes for the season! Top off each cupcake with icing and festive m&m's® for the trees lights.
  • 1 Bake the cupcakes

    Prepare the cupcakes as directed on the box. Cool completely.

  • 2 Prepare the icing

    Prepare the icing. Mix all of the ingredients except the millk. Slowly add the mix to reach the desired consistency for the icing. Color a small portion of the icing black and set aside.

  • 3 Create the Christmas trees

    Using the Wilton® Tip 2A, pipe the cupcakes into a tree shape with the white icing.

  • 4 Create the light strands

    Use a small circle tip and pipe a black "light strand" around the icing tree.

  • 5 Attach the trees lights

    Place different colored m&m's® lights along the strand.
