White Cake Mix
Vegetable Oil
Powdered Sugar - 2lbs
Butter - 1 cup
Vanilla - 1 tsp
Milk - 3 Tbls
Wilton® Food Coloring (pink, yellow, purple, blue)
Wilton® Spring Color Sprinkles
Piping Bag
Wilton® 1M Tip

How to Make Cupcakes in a Jar

Bake your way into the Spring Season by making your own Cupcakes in a Jar! Avoid the mess of a cupcake with putting it in your own jar of choice! Top it off with Spring colored sprinkles and have the perfect dessert for any occassion. 

  • 1 Make cake mix

    Prepare white cake mix as directed on box. Seperate into 4 bowls and color cake batter pink, yellow, blue and purple. Bake in lined cupcake pan. Cool completely. 

  • 2 Prepare icing

    Prepare icing: 1 cup of butter mix, add 2lbs of powedered sugar and mix. Add vanilla, milk - mix a little at a time to reach desired consistency. 

  • 3 Cut cupcakes

    Cut cupcakes accordingly.

  • 4 Fill icing bag

    Fill icing bag with the icing you created in step 2. 

  • 5 Layer cupcakes

    Layer the cut up cupcakes and incing in jars. Refer to picture for example. 

  • 6 Add sprinkles

    Top with Spring colored sprinkles.
