Hot Chocolate Cupcakes with Marshmallow Buttercream

What You'll Need:

1/2 cup Hot Chocolate Mix
1/2 cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Tbls Vanilla
1/2 cup Flour
Chocolate Syrup
Mason Jars
Piping Bag
Wilton® Tip 1M
Paper Straws
Marshmallow Buttercream
2 cups Butter Softened
2 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
13 oz. Marshmallow Creme

How to Make Hot Chocolate with Marshmallow Buttercream

Warm up with this delicious treat! Bake a cupcake inside of a mason jar, add tasty buttercream frosting & top it all off with a hot chocolate drizzle. This treat is perfect for those cold winter nights!
  • 1 Preheat oven

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • 2 Add ingredients

    Melt butter. Stir in hot chocolate mix. Add the sugar. Slowly mix in the eggs and vanilla.

  • 3 Add flour

    Fold in the flour. Mix until well combined.

  • 4 Pour into mason jars

    Pour into individual mason jars placed on a cookie sheet.

  • 5 Bake

    Bake for 35 minutes, cool completely.

  • 6 Mix butter

    Marshmallow Buttercream-Cream butter in a mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium until butter is soft and fluffy.

  • 7 Add powdered sugar & vanilla

    Gradually beat in powdered sugar, about 1/2 cup at a time; beat in vanilla.

  • 8 Create frosting

    Gently fold the marshmallow creme into the frosting until thoroughly incorporated.

  • 9 Add icing

    Fill icing bag and pipe on cupcake.

  • 10 Add chocolate syrup & straw

    Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Place paper straw.
