How to Make Maple Pecan Frosted Cookies
Warm up this spring with Maple Pecan Frosted Maple Cookies, courtesy of L-Eats Sweet Treats! Each cookie is full of tasty maple syrup and topped with a pecan frosting.

*Baking cookies*
The following steps are for baking the cookies.

Cream butter & sugar
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs & maple extract
Beat in eggs and maple extract.

Add syrup and half and half
Add the syrup and the half and half and continue mixing.

Add baking soda and salt
Mix in the baking soda and salt. Mix well.

Add flour
Add the flour and mix until combined.

Bake cookies
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 9-10 minutes.

Allow to cool
Allow the cookies to cool while making the frosting.

*Making the frosting*
The following steps are for making the frosting.

Add butter
Add softened sticks of butter to the mixer.

Add vanilla and maple extract
Add vanilla and maple extract to the mixer.

Mix
Mix until the butter and extracts are completely mixed.

Add powdered sugar and mix
Add the powdered sugar. Beat on low until the powdered sugar is incorporated. Move the mixer up to a medium speed. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl often. When completely mixed, the frosting may appear dry. If so, add a dash of milk.

Add pecans
Mix the pecans into the frosting by hand.

Frost the cookies.
