What You'll Need:

Chocolate Cake Mix
¾ Cup Crisco® Shortening
2 Eggs
Wilton® Pink Food Coloring

Strawberry Filling
1 Stick Butter - Room Temp.
4 oz. Cream Cheese
2½ cups Powdered Sugar
¼ Cup Pureed Strawberries in Sugar

How to Make Pink Ribbon Cookies

  • 1 Mix butter & cream cheese

    Cream together butter and cream cheese.

  • 2 Add powdered sugar

    Add one cup of powdered sugar and mix until combined.

  • 3 Add strawberries

    Add the pureed strawberries.

  • 4 Mix remaining sugar

    Gradually mix in the remaining powdered sugar.

  • 5 Preheat oven

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • 6 Combine cake mix

    Combine cake mix, shortening and eggs and mix until combined. Dough will be stiff.

  • 7 Roll balls

    Roll into 1" - 1½" balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-10 minutes.

  • 8 Cool & add filling

    Cool completely. Spread filling over half of the cookies and top each with another cookie to make sandwiches.

  • 9 Make fondant

    Color the fondant pink, roll out, cut and shape into awareness ribbons. Use icing as glue to attach ribbon to top of cookie.
