How to Make Snowball Cookies

Baking during the winter? It's a snow-brainer! L-Eats Sweet Treats shows us how to make these festive and tasty Snowball Cookies for any chilly day spent at home.
  • 1 Prepare & preheat the oven

Line two cookie sheets with parcment paper. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  • 2 Mix the ingredients

Mix the butter, 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar and vanilla with an electic mixer until fluffy. Add the flour and salt and mix until the dough comes together. Stir in the nuts. If the dough is soft, chill it until you can work it easily with your hands.

  • 3 Scoop the dough

Scoop 1 tablespoon balls of dough and place on a prepared cookie sheet.

  • 4 Bake & roll the cookies

Bake the cookies for 7-8 minutes until the bottoms are slightly brown. Remove the cookies from the oven and cool for just a minute until you can handle them.

Fill a small bowl with powdered sugar and roll each cookie in the sugar until coated.

  • 5 Cool the cookies

Place on a rack to cool. Once the cookies are cooled, you may want to re-roll them in more powdered sugar.
