Goat's Milk Soap Base (Shea butter or Cocunut works as well)
Clear Soap Base
Soap Mold
Pyrex Measuring Cup
Green Soap Colorant
Red Soap Colorant
Fragrance of Choice

How to Make Watermelon Soap

Freshen up this summer with the fruity sent of watermelon from handmade soap! Whether a beginner or experienced crafter, anyone can make their own Watermelon Soap.
  • 1 Green layer

    Cut ½ lb. of the goat's milk soap into cubes. Place the cubes into a Pyrex measuring cup and melt in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring well after each. When the soap is completely melted, add 10 drops of watermelon fragrance oil and green soap colorant. Pour ¾ of the green soap into the bottom of the soap mold and allow to firm for 15-20 minutes. 

  • 2 White layer

    Melt ¼ lb. of white soap cubes in the microwave. Add 5 drops of watermelon fragrance oil and pour into the soap mold. Allow to firm for 15-20 minutes. 

  • 3 Red layer

    Cut 3 lbs. of clear soap base into cubes. Microwave until fully melted, then stir in 15 drops of watermelon fragrance oil. Allow to firm for 90 minutes or until soap is completely hardened.

  • 4 Cut soap & enjoy

    Adults - use a sharp knife to slice the soap into bars and enjoy!
