How to Make Moroccan Inspired Stenciled Embroidery Hoops

Add a splash of color to your walls with these Moroccan Inspired Stenciled Embroidery Hoops! Customize these hoops for any room by choosing fat quarter colors and patterns to coordinate with your decor. When they're finished, connect them and hang them on the wall as one piece, separate them and display them individually or incorporate them into a gallery wall.
  • 1 Separate & paint hoops

    Separate the hoops. Paint the outside and top edge of the outer hoop white. Let dry completey.

  • 2 Place cardboard

    Place a piece of cardboard under the flattened material.

  • 3 Stencil designs

    Choose your designs and lay your stencil onto the material. Sponge with white paint. Carefully lift the stencil up from the material and place on another section of material. Allow painted areas to dry.

  • 4 Repeat

    Repeat with remaining fat quarters.

  • 5 Lay material in hoop

    Lay the stenciled material over the inside hoop, and then place the outside hoop over it.

  • 6 Shift & secure in hoop

    Shift the design in the hoop until satisfied, and then tighten the outer hoop.

  • 7 Trim excess

    Turn hoop over and cut off any excess material using scissors. Repeat with other hoops.
