How to Make a Pointsetta Door Tag

Add a festive decoration to your front door this holiday season by making this Pointsetta Door Tag project! Don't forget to add the gold ribbon, glitter glue and rhinestones to really make it sparkle!

  • 1 Cut pointsettas

Cut out 5 pointsettas of each size from the different shades of green cardstock using the Cuttlebug®.

  • 2 Cut flower centers

Cut out 5 centers from the yellow cardstock using the Cuttlebug®.

  • 3 Cut Santa & sleigh

Cut out a Santa and his sleigh from the red cardstock using the Cuttlebug®.

  • 4 Trace, cut & glue

Place the wooden tag face down on the striped and damask papers and trace the shape. Cut out and glue the paper to the wooden tag.

  • 5 Cut & glue green paper

Cut a 2'' strip of green patterned paper and glue it over the red paper seams.

  • 6 Draw veins

Draw veins on the leaves with a glitter pen.

  • 7 Cut & attach ribbon

Varying the lengths, cut 4 sections of gold ribbon. Attach them to the tag.

  • 8 Add pointsettas & rhinestones

Stack the pointsettas and foam dot them onto the ends of the ribbons. Add a rhinestone to the centers.

  • 9 Apply embossing powder

Apply embossing inkpad to Santa and sprinkle thouroughly with the heavy embossing powder. Tap off excess and melt it with the heat gun.

  • 10 Re-apply embossing powder

Repeat several times to build up the glaze. Add several stacked foam dots to the back and attach it to the tag.
