How to Make a Reindeer Canvas

A new piece of art can transform any home, so deck your walls this winter with this Reindeer Canvas project! Get creative while you paint to add a funky twist to traditional holiday decor.
  • 1 Paint canvas charcoal

Thin down the charcoal paint with water and paint the canvas. Let dry.

  • 2 Dry brush canvas

Dry brush the light blue paint over the canvas, letting the charcoal paint show through.

  • 3 Splatter paint canvas

Splatter white paint onto the canvas. Let the paint dry.

  • 4 Die cut reindeer

Die cut 2 reindeer from each of the 5 paper colors in the pack.

  • 5 Emboss reindeer

Apply embossing ink to 1 reindeer from each color. Sprinkle with heavy embossing powder. Tap off excess powder and melt with a heat gun. Repeat the process several times to build up the glaze.

  • 6 Arrange & attach dit cut reindeer

Arrange and attach the plain die cut reindeer to the canvas.

  • 7 Arrange & attach embossed reindeer

Attach foam dots to the back of the embossed reindeer and arrange on the canvas overlapping the other reindeer.
