How to Make a Floral Bunny Hat

You don't have to fall down a rabbit hole to bring the wonderland home! Decorate a Floral Bunny Hat complete with pastel fabric, flowers, glitter and of course floppy bunny ears. This festive hat is the perfect display piece for springtime, Easter or any important tea party.
  • 1 Create the hat

Print and cut out the templates. Use the hat templates to cut out fabric pieces. Mod Podge® them to the paper mache hat. Let dry. Mod Podge® the fabric covered hat and sprinkle glitter over the entire surface. Let dry.

  • 2 Create the bunny ears

Use the bigger ear templates to cut out four white fur ears. Lay two ear shapes with the fur sides touching. Stick the outside edges together on the fur with hot glue. Hot glue two chenille stems, one on each side of the ear, near the glued seam edges. Leave the bottom straight edge open, and turn the ears right side out after the glue cools.

  • 3 Create the bunny's inner ears

Use the iron-on adhesive to adhere some printed fabric to the white cardstock. Use the inner ear template to cut out two inside ear pieces from the fabric covered cardstock. Apply Mod Podge® to both pieces and sprinkle with glitter. Let dry. Hot glue these pieces to the centers of the white fur ears.

  • 4 Create the hat band

Cut a piece of pink short fur trim to 14" long and 1 1/4" wide for a hat band. Hot glue it onto the glittered hat.

  • 5 Create the flowers

Use the flower templates to cut out felt flowers. Roll felt into a flower shape and hot glue each flower at the bottom to hold the flower's shape.

  • 6 Attach the bunny ears

Attach the bunny ears to each side of the hat brim with hot glue.

  • 7 Attach the flowers

Arrange the felt flowers onto the hat brim to one side near an ear. Hot glue them into place.

  • 8 Cover the hat's hole

Hot glue a wood circle to the underside of the hat brim, covering the head hole.

  • 9 Attach the hat to the candlestick

Use hot glue along the top edge of the candlestick, center the hat onto the candlestick and press into place.
