How to Make Pom Pom Yarn Animals

If you're looking for the perfect craft to make with your kids this spring, try these Pom Pom Yarn Animals! Not only is this project easy and fun to create, these furry little friends make the best companions and Easter basket additions!
  • 1 Make large and small poms

Using your pom-pom maker you will need to make two pom-poms. One large pom-pom for the body of the bunny, and one small pom-pom for its head.

  • 2 Glue pom-poms together

Shape the pom-poms for a clean finish and hot glue the larger pom-pom to the smaller one.

  • 3 Craft ears

Begin creating your bunny ears by cutting two ears out of felt that 2" long and 3/4" wide. Cut out two more bunny ears that are 1 1/2" long by 1/2" wide using your pink felt. Pinch the smaller sections and hot glue onto the larger sections. Allow to dry, then glue the larger sections on top of the small pom-pom.

  • 4 Add whiskers and nose

Glue four 2" strands of your monofilament wire onto the 1/4" pom-pom and allow this to dry. Glue to 1/4" pom-pom to the small pom of the bunny creating a nose and whiskers.

  • 5 Add eyes and tail

Glue on your two 1/4" animal eyes right above the nose. Glue your 1" pom onto the lower half of the backside of your bunny for a tail.
