How to Make a Fall Hoop Wreath

Get ready for fall with a festive Hoop Wreath! Grab colorful floral picks and cardstock to create a seasonal decoration for your front door. With the help of a Cricut Maker, you too can roll beautiful paper flowers to add to your wreath!
  • 1 Prepare the small hoop

Take a small embroidery hoop apart by loosening the screw.

  • 2 Cut the fabric

Lay the hoop onto the fabric. Cut the fabric so there is extra fabric on all sides of the hoop.

  • 3 Reassemble the hoop

Lay the fabric on the hoop and replace the part of the hoop that had been removed. Pull the fabric tight. Tighten the screw.

  • 4 Trim the fabric

Trim the excess fabric away from the hoop.

  • 5 Attach the hoops together

Using Gorilla® Hot Glue, Attach the small hoop to the inside of the larger hoop.

  • 6 Decorate the wreath

Hot glue the flowers that you made with the Cricut Maker to the outside of the hoop, alternating the floral picks, flowers and Spanish Moss.

Complete your wreath by attaching a bow using the hot glue. Use a Bowdabra® if needed.

Refer to Step 7 for tips on how to make the flowers.

  • 7 Tips on making flowers

    1. Roll the flowers from right to left using the reverse tweezers.

    2. Roll the flowers tight then let loosen before gluing. This allows the center of the flower to remain tight.

    3. Glue the tabs of the flower down using Aleene's® Turbo Tacky Glue.

    4. Bend the petals back using the tweezers to give the flower a more realistic look.
