How to make a Pumpkin Mesh Wreath

You don't have to go all the way to the pumpkin patch to bring home this fall decoration! Make your own pumpkin that you can display from harvest time through Halloween using a wreath frame and colorful mesh ribbon.
  • 1 Wrap wreath with ribbon

Wrap the wreath form with orange ribbon, securing with chenille stems.

  • 2 Attach 5 chenille stems

Attach 5 chenille stems to the top of the wreath form, spacing approximately 2" apart.

  • 3 Repeat on the bottom

Repeat on the bottom of the wreath form, directly opposite to the chenille stems that are on the top.

  • 4 Attach the 21" mesh

Gather the 21" mesh and tie it to the first chenille stem on top.

  • 5 Puff the mesh down & tie

Bring the mesh down, puffing it out, and tie it to the first chenille stem on the bottom.

  • 6 Repeat & trim excess

Repeat the process back and forth until all of the chenille stems are full. Trim any excess mesh.

  • 7 Attach the stem

Roll the brown mesh into a tube. Trim the tube to 11" and tie it to the wreath form as a stem.

  • 8 Curl & tie ribbon into bow

Curl the flat ribbon around a broom handle to create a tendril. Tie the 6" curled ribbon into a bow.

  • 9 Attach the bow

Attach the bow to the wreath.

  • 10 Add a hanging loop

Attach a chenille loop for hanging.
