How to Make a Beaded Chandelier

Hang a beautiful Beaded Chandelier in your home or office! Brighten up your space with Cleveland Vintage Lighting and watch as the light bounces off the beads.
  • 1 Connect & paint

Connect the cord to the light shade. Paint the socket, light shade and metal ring white. Let dry. Dry brush tan paint over each of those pieces. Set them aside to dry.

  • 2 Measure & cut the cord

Measure and cut sixteen 72" lengths of hemp cord. Fold each cord in half and slipknot them onto the metal ring.

  • 3 Glue the cord

Hot glue the cord ends on each strand together for easier beading.

  • 4 Strand the beads

String each strand with wooden beads using this pattern:

Strand 1: Three 16mm beads, then seven 20mm beads followed by three 16mm beads.
Strand 2: One 16mm bead, then nin 20mm beads followed by one 16mm bead

Alternate the pattern until all strands have beads, then knot each strand onto the bottom of the light shade.

  • 5 Continue beading

Continue to bead the strands using this pattern:

Strand 1: Five 12mm beads, then four 16mm beads, followed by six 12mm beads.
Strand 2: Five 12mm beads, then five 16mm beads followed by five 12mm beads.

Once all strands are filled, knot ends along the top of the light shade. Trim excess cords and add a dab of hot glue on the knot ends.
