How to Make a Welcome Spring Terrarium

Welcome in the season with a terrarium! Arrange a springtime scene complete with moss, a butterfly, a nest full of eggs and more. Close it all up and set it on any tabletop in no time!
  • 1 Clean the jar

Clean the jar with window cleaner.

  • 2 Add some moss

Tear off some moss and place inside the jar.

  • 3 Add more moss & beads

Glue some moss into the nest. Shape the beads into ovals, arrange and glue them inside the nest.

  • 4 Cut twig ends

Cut some of the twig ends off of the nest so it fits inside the jar.

  • 5 Add a butterfly

Glue a butterfly to one side of the nest.

  • 6 Cut & ink paper

Cut a strip of paper 1/2" x 4.5". Apply ink to the edges with both ink colors.

  • 7 Attach stickers & roll the strip

Use tweezers to attach stickers to the cardstock to spell out "Welcome Spring." Roll the ends of the strip and glue it onto a twig above the nest.

  • 8 Add the nest

Insert the nest into the jar.

  • 9 Add ribbon

Trim the jar neck with natural ribbon and close the lid.
