How to Make Hanging Painted Fish

When it comes to coastal decor, we've got a big catch for you! Add some fun deep sea decorations to your home this summer starting with these adorable Hanging Painted Fish!
  • 1 Trim fins

Cut the fins off of the fish using your X-acto knife.

  • 2 Paint fish white

Paint both sides of the fish white and allow to dry completely.

  • 3 Add blue to fish

Paint at least 3 of the body sections blue, alternating blue and white. Allow to dry.

  • 4 Dot eyes

Dip the end of your paint brush into the blue paint and dot an eye on each fish.

  • 5 Cut & wrap jute

Cut 3 yards of jute. Fold jute in half, leaving a 2" loop. Knot it. Wrap both sections around the first fish and knot. Separate the jute, tie one fish about 4.5" below the first fish and the last fish about 7" down.
