How to Make Hexagon Paint Pour Coasters

Avoid a sticky situation with trendy Paint Pour Coasters! These colorful coasters are easy to make with Martha Stewart Crafts® paint and will look great in any social gathering place.
  • 1 Protect work area

Cover your work space with plastic and wear rubber gloves. This project can be a bit messy so be prepared, but more importantly, have fun with it!

  • 2 Mix the paint

Squeeze a small amount of each of the four paint colors and gold glitter into separate glasses. Squeeze glue into each cup to fill it to about 1/2" deep. Mix it with a craft stick, adding water until the mixture is the consistency of creamer.

  • 3 Position the extra cups

Place extra cups facedown onto the work space.

  • 4 Paint a coaster

Pour a small amount of each color onto a coaster. Manipulate the coaster to allow the paint to flow and blend, covering the entire surface. Place it onto one of the extra cups to dry.

  • 5 Repeat

Repeat step 4 with the remaining coasters. Let them sit for several hours to dry completely.

  • 6 Add epoxy to the coasters

Mix the two-part epoxy according to the directions. Pour the epoxy mixture slowly over each coaster. Use a pin or needle to pop any bubbles on the surface. Let sit overnight to dry.
