How to Make a Metallic Jewelry Hanger

This Metallic Jewelry Hanger is a glamorous way to store all of your jewelry! At the end of the day, just hang your favorite necklaces on the knob to keep them organized, untangled and ready to wear.
  • 1 Paint base coat

    Water down black paint and apply a base coat to the wood plaque.

  • 2 Sand surface

    Sand the surface and wipe down.

  • 3 Paint frame

    Thin down brown paint and apply to frame.

  • 4 Gold leaf frame

    Apply adhesive to the frame and add gold leafing.

  • 5 Apply copper paint

    Thin copper paint and apply over the plaque and frame.

  • 6 Glue frame

    Glue frame onto the plaque.

  • 7 Drill hole

    Drill a hole in the center of the frame opening.

  • 8 Attach hanger

    Attach a saw tooth hanger onto back of plaque.

  • 9 Screw in hardware

    Screw hardware into the hole.

  • 10 Trim stem

    Use bolt cutters to trim the hardware stem.
