How to Make Mini Photo Transfer Canvases

These mini canvases are a cute way to display your favorite pictures around your home, an inspirational saying or beachscape on your desk or anything else you can print or photocopy! Just remember, if you are using a picture with lettering or words, you need to flip the image horizontally before printing.
  • 1 Trim image

Trim your image so it is the same size as the canvas.

  • 2 Brush gel medium

Brush an even layer of gel medium onto the front of the canvas.

  • 3 Lay the image down

Lay the image printed side down onto the canvas.

  • 4 Let dry completely

Let the canvas dry completely. It will take approximately 4 to 8 hours.

  • 5 Rub off the paper

Wet your fingertips and gently rub the paper in a circular motion. The paper will break down and peel off. Continue wetting your fingertips and rubbing the paper until it is completely gone.

  • 6 Lightly sand

Lightly sand the edges of the picture to create a distressed frame.

  • 7 Apply Mod Podge┬«

Apply a coat of Mod Podge® and let it dry completely.

  • 8 Display

    Display on mini easel.
