How to Make a Ladybug Welcome Sign

Welcome everyone into your home with your own handmade Ladybug Welcome Sign! Filled with bright and beautiful colors, it is the perfect way to welcome everyone over.
  • 1 Paint sign, ladybug & "Welcome"

Water down the brown paint and apply it to the sign, ladybug and "Welcome." Let Dry.

  • 2 Paint sign

Loosely paint the sign green, leaving the edges brown.

  • 3 Paint flowes, "Welcome," & heart

Paint the flowers yellow, the "Welcome" ivory and the heart red. These may require two coats for even coverage.

  • 4 Paint circles and small heart

Paint two 1'' circles and the small heart on the "welcome" with the coral chalk paint.

  • 5 Paint ladybug

Paint the ladybug red and black.

  • 6 Sand surfaces

Sand the surfaces of the flowers, circles, hearts and ladybugs.

  • 7 Apply Mod Podge®

Apply two coats of the Mod Podge® to the sign and all pieces. Let dry.

  • 8 Glue spools

Glue three spools along the back of the ladybug and glue it to the top left of the sign.

  • 9 Glue "Welcome" & flowers

Arrange the "Welcome" and the flowers onto the sign, letting the edges hang off. Hot glue them into place.

  • 10 Tie raffia

Tie raffia around the handle and trim as needed.
