How to Make a Rustic Mason Jar Candle Holder

A Rustic Mason Jar Candle Holder is just the custom lighting accessory you need to accent your primitive decor! From the frayed muslin bow and rusted tin star, to pip berries and the warm glow of candle, place this decorated mason jar anywhere for a rustic effect.
  • 1 Sponge Mod Podge

    Sponge Mod Podge on outside of jar. Let dry completely.

  • 2 Sponge brown paint

    Sponge brown acrylic paint over Mod Podge. Let dry completely.

  • 3 Apply antiquing gel

    Apply antiquing gel to jar. Let dry completely.

  • 4 Cut & glue foam

    Cut a piece of foam to fit in the bottom of jar and hot glue in place.

  • 5 Insert candle cup

    Insert candle cup into foam.

  • 6 Arrange berries

    Arrange pip berries and rusted tin star. Insert into foam.

  • 7 Tie fabric strip

    Cut a piece of muslin or burlap to tie around jar.

  • 8 Insert candle

    Insert candle into candle cup.
