How to Make a Wood Bead & Tassel Necklace

Craft your own boho chic style when you make this Wood Bead & Tassel Necklace! The earthy round beads are the perfect contrast to vibrant neon tassels. Customize your necklace by adding more or less tassels in all of your favorite bright colors.
  • 1 Loop floss

Loop 20, 6" strands of floss.

  • 2 Slide floss through jump ring

Slide floss through a 7mm jump ring. Bring floss ends together, hold the jump ring and tug on the floss ends to even them up.

  • 3 Tie & wrap floss

Cut another section of floss, about 12". Tie floss around the section of floss below the jump ring. Wrap about 8 times and knot. Trim excess.

  • 4 Trim bottom

Trim bottom section of the tassel so ends are even.

  • 5 Continue making tassels

Repeat Steps 2 through 4 to make 4 more tassels.

  • 6 Bead & attach tassels

Cut a 10" section of bead wire and string on 22 wood beads and an acrylic bead at each end. Attach a jump ring to each tassel and attach to the wire between every fourth bead. Add a crimp bead to the each end of the wire, then loop wire ends back through the crimps and through several beads. Leave a small loop at each end and crimp the crimp beads.

  • 7 Cut chain

Cut 2, 5" to 6" lengths of chain.

  • 8 Attach jump ring & clasp

Attach a jump ring to the ends along with a lobster clasp on 1 end.
