How to Make Batty Hanging Bats

You can make these Batty Hanging Bats with your little one in a few simple steps. All you need to do is draw, trim and glue all of the pieces together and you will have a bat decoration to hang upside down. Since these fun halloween accents don't take long to make, you could have an entire colony of bats to hang in your home in no time!
  • 1 Draw & Cut Bat Wings

Fold a piece of the cardstock in half and draw one half of the bat wing shape using the photo as a guide. Cut it out.

  • 2 Attach Wings

Unfold the cardstock and Glue Dot® the wings to the back of the matching colored tube.

  • 3 Cut & Attach Ears

Cut out triangles from the scraps of that cardstock and Glue Dot® them to the inside of the top of the tube for ears.

  • 4 Add Eyes & Nose

Glue Dot® the eyes and pom nose into place.

  • 5 Draw Mouth

Draw a mouth with the Sharpie® Marker.

  • 6 Punch Holes

Punch holes opposite eachother on the bottom sides of the tubes.

  • 7 Attach Chenille

Cut a chenille stem in half, attach through holes, twisting in place; curl the ends so the bat can hang upside down.
