How to Make a Celebrate Earth Necklace

Celebrate our planet with a beautiful necklace! Be inspired and paint a tree. Share your love with a large heart. Or, paint our home. Either way, you'll be able to show your support for Earth Day, on any day, by creating a unique beaded necklace!
  • 1 Create necklace

Roll a 1.25" ball of clay and then flatten out the ball with the pam of your hand. Flatten to about a 2" disk of clay.

  • 2 Create necklace hole

Use the straw to make a hole near the top of the clay disk.

  • 3 Paint design

Paint an Earth Day design onto the front of the clay disk. Let dry.

  • 4 Create necklace cord

Cut a 30" length of cord, fold it in half and make knots at the ends. Push the folded loop of cord through the hole in the disk and then push the knotted together ends through the loop to make a slipknot in the cord.

  • 5 Add beads to necklace

Slide 3 beads over the knotted cord ends and let rest at the top of the painted disk.
