How to Make a Dancing Penguin

Put on an epic performance with these adorable Dancing Penguins. After you and your kids assemble each penguin, sit back and watch them wobble!
  • 1 Trace & cut

Trace and cut the penguin's beak and feet from the orange Foamie, its tummy from the white Foamie, and its arms from the black cardstock.

  • 2 Cut & pinch

Cut an 18" piece of jute. Puncture a hole in the top of the black plastic cup, as well as through the top of the feet.

  • 3 Tie jute

Tie one end of the jute to the holes in the top of the feet. Tie a double knot approximate 3" up from the feet. Thread the jute through hole in top of cup, and tie a double knot outide the cup to secure jute to cup. Tie the other end of the jute to the center of the craft stick.

  • 4 Cut & tie bakers twine

Cut 2, 19" pieces of bakers twine. Tie one piece to each end of the craft stick. Attach the other end of the twine to the back of the feet. It helps to cut 1" x 1" pieces of orange Foamies to place over the bakers twine to hold it in place. An adjustment in bakers twine length may be necessary to make penguin walk.

  • 5 Attach body parts

Using your Hercules tape, attach the tummy, eyes and beak to the front of the cup and attach arms to each side of cup.
