How to Make a Dino DIY Canvas

A Dino DIY Canvas is a fun craft for kids to create, plus they can use it to decorate their space. Spritzing the color onto canvas is a fun alternative to traditional painting, and it's a technique that kids of any age can do. Customize your project by using your favorite colors of acrylic paint, or even creating your own template!
  • 1 Copy pattern onto cardstock

    Make a copy of the dino pattern and adhere to cardstock using a glue stick, or copy it directly onto the cardstock.

  • 2 Cut out

    Cut out the dinosaur.

  • 3 Mix paint

    Mix paint in bottles with 1 part paint to 3 parts water.

  • 4 Adhere dino

    Apply repositionable tape to back of dino and adhere to center of canvas.

  • 5 Spray canvas

    Spray canvas with paint, being careful not to overspray.

  • 6 Remove dino

    Carefully remove dino and allow canvas to dry.

  • 7 Finish edge

    Finish off edge of canvas with ribbon, adhering with permanent tape runner.
