What You'll Need:

2" Light Brown Pom
1 1/2" Light Brown Pom
3/4" Light Brown Pom
1/2" White Pom
1/2" Black Pom
1/2" Light Brown Pom
10mm Google Eyes
Sticky Sticks
Hot/Cold Cups
Green Marker

How to Make a Groundhog's Day Puppet

You control whether or not this groundhog sees his shadow! Create your very own adorable groundhog puppet to celebrate the big day, while you wait to see if Punxsutawney Phil sends spring our way.
  • 1 Color the cup

    Color the hot/cold cup green using a marker.

  • 2 Cut "V"s

    Use scissors to cut "V" cuts approximately 2" deep along the top of the cup.

  • 3 Glue poms together

    Glue the 2" light brown pom to the 1 1/2" light brown pom.

  • 4 Add pom arms

    Glue the 3/4" light brown poms in place for arms.

  • 5 Add cheeks & a nose

    Glue 1/2" white poms in place for cheeks and a 1/2" black pom for the nose.

  • 6 Glue eyes

    Glue the eyes in place.

  • 7 Add ears

    Glue 1/2" light brown poms to the head for ears.

  • 8 Attach groundhog & slide in Sticky Stick

    Cut a slit in the bottom of the cup, just big enough for the Sticky Stick to slide through. Attach the Sticky Stick to the back of the groundhog and slide the it through the slip in the cup and out of the bottom.
