12" Wooden Spoon
Felt Colors of Choice
Silver Duct Tape
Google Eyes
Blue Acrylic Paint
Yellow Acrylic Paint
Wood Furniture Button
15 mm Brown Chenille Stem
1/2" Wood Beads

How to Make a Knight Puppet 

What kind of fairy tale would it be without a knight in shining armor? In a few simple steps you can add this Knight Puppet to your puppet show adventures! Children will love acting out enchanting stories with the help of this character.
  • 1 Draw an oval

    Draw an oval on the front of the spoon for the face.

  • 2 Paint the spoon

    Paint the entire spoon blue with the exception of the inside of the oval. 

  • 3 Paint the knight's hair

    In the oval paint yellow hair towards the top of the oval. Allow paint to dry. 

  • 4 Create tunic & shield

    Cut tunic and shield from felt.

  • 5 Create helmet

    Back two pieces of duct tape together and cut into helmet shapes. 

  • 6 Attach tunic & shield

    Slide tunic on spoon, glue shield to front of tunic.

  • 7 Create arms

    Cut chenille stem in half, wrap it twice around the spoon handle, twist it 3-4 times and place ends towards the front of spoon, place wooden beads at the ends of the chenille stems. 

  • 8 Create the face

    Glue wood plug inside oval for the nose and Glue Dot® eyes in place.

  • 9 Attach helmet

    Glue Dot® helmet in place.
