How to Make Plastic Animal Storage Jars

These animal storage jars are the perfect place to keep a child's small toys, craft supplies and more! The brightly colored lids are easy to twist on and off, and they keep the contents safe and secure. Plus, kids love seeing their favorite dino or jungle animal right on top of the jar.
  • 1 Spray paint white

Working on any disposable surface, lay the plastic animals on their sides and lightly coat each one with white spray paint. Let each animal dry for approximately 10-15 minutes.

  • 2 Flip animals

Flip the animals over and repeat Step 1.

  • 3 Repeat

Repeat Steps 1 and 2 again with a slightly heavier coat of white. Make sure to cover the entire surface of the animal.

  • 4 Spray with color

With the desired color of spray paint, repeat Step 3. Make sure to cover all white areas.

  • 5 Repeat

Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for the metal jar lid.

  • 6 Add animal

Using only small dabs of E6000 glue, adhere the animal to the center of the lid. Let dry completely.
