How to Make a Submarine Window

Looking for a classroom activity or a weekend craft full of colorful sea creatures? Create this Submarine Window! It's an adorable and simple craft that will keep the kids busy by giving them their own little underwater view.
  • 1 Trace plate

    Trace plate on acetate and cut out.

  • 2 Trace circles

    Trace a 12" circles on the graphite paper and an 7 1/2" circle in the center of that, cut out both circles.

  • 3 Make underwater scene

    On a blue plate, create your underwater scene using the Foamies, sequins and google eyes.

  • 4 Cut tablecloth

    Cut thin strips of tablecloth for algae and staple to the top of the plate hanging down over some of your scene.

  • 5 Add acetate

    Staple acetate to place, enclosing your scene.

  • 6 Add top

    Place the "O" you cut out of graphite paper over top, using the Big Bite punch holes and fasten with the brads.

  • 7 Tie cord

    Punch a hole in the top to tie a piece of cord or ribbon to hang.
