How to Make a Woodland Leaf Magnet

Fall is right around the corner and you can decorate with your own Woodland Leaf Magnet! Use paint and stickers of woodland critters to create this fun wood craft. Don't forget to add a magnet so you can stick the leaf on your refrigerator or locker!
  • 1 Paint the leaf

Dab orange or red paint onto the leaf. Blot it with a paper towel and set aside to dry for a few minutes.

  • 2 Add stickers to the leaf

Using the photo as a guide, embellish the leaf with stickers.

  • 3 Cut the hemp cord

Cut a yard of hemp cord.

  • 4 Add the hemp cord to the leaf

Fold the hemp cord in half and place the stem of the leaf onto the center of the cord.

  • 5 Tie the hemp cord

Wrap each cord end around the stem four times and tie a knot.

  • 6 Add beads to the hemp cord

String two beads onto each end. Knot and trim the cord ends.

  • 7 Attach the magnet

Cut a 2" section of magnet and attach it to the back of the leaf.
