Clean the inside of the bottle and let dry completely. Pour white paint into the bottle and swirl around to coat interior. Pour out excess and let dry.

  • 2 Cut & attach paper band

Cut papers to make a band around the bottle. Ink edges of paper and attach to bottle.

  • 3 Die cut & embellish bees & hives

Die cut 3 hibes and 2 bees. Use a silicone pad with Cuttlebug plates to emboss the die cuts. Apply brown ink over the hives and orange ink over the bees. Apply glitter glue on the bee bodies, hive openings and between sections. Set aside to dry.

  • 4 Die cut circles

Die cut 3 each of the second largest circle and 2 each of the third largest circle.

  • 5 Cut & arrange dowels

Slide a dowel rod into 3 of the straws and cut them to 4", 5" and 6" so they vary in size inside the bottle. Glue dowel in straw. Glue each straw to the front center of a large circle. Glue a hive onto each straw.

  • 6 Arrange straws

Pour some sand into the bottle to weigh it down. Stack straws using foam foam dots on circles to separate and hold the arrangement in place, then insert into sand. Attach a straw to a small circle and glue a bee onto the straw. Stack foam dots on back, then insert and arrange in jar.

  • 7 Cut & glue straw sections

Cut 2, 1" sections of a straw. Glue 1 to the back of a small circle and the center of the band. Glue other straw to back of a bee and the front of the circle.

  • 8 Tie bow

Tie a raffia bow around the jar neck.

  • 9 Tie baker's twine bow

Cut 6, 12" lengths of baker's twine. Gather them together and tie into a simple bow. Glue onto jar, just above raffia center.
