How to Make a Basic Knit Scarf

Whether used as a colorfil accent to an outfit or to keep you warm during the cold months, a Basic Knit Scarf is a great project for beginner knitters to learn the hobby.

Measurements: Approx 7 x 70" [18 x 178 cm], excluding fringe.
Gauge: 17 stitches and 32 rows [10 cm] in garter stitch

  • 1 Cast stitches

    Cast on 30 stitches.

  • 2 Knit every row

Knit every row (garter stitch) until work from beginning measures 70" [178 cm]. Cast off.

  • 3 Fringe
